In 1956, pressure-sensitive vinyl film hit the market. This advancement, combined with more color introductions, enabled greater vinyl usage to fabricate attractive signs and emblems. Two years later, an easy-to-peel, silicone release liner was developed; this has remained a mainstay in protecting vinyl film’s adhesive backing. Since then there has been paradigm shifts in the signage, architectural and printing industries that have changed the way we use this material to assist businesses in those industries. Lettering, vehicle wraps, stick on signs have reduced sign writing to an almost lost art in 35 years. Digital printing over the past 20 years has all but eliminated screenprinting! Architectural film is being used as for the overcoating of laminated and metallic panels. This provides updating of commercial and residential buildings both interior and exterior with out a demolition and rebuild. With the introduction many exotic textures and finishes available it is being specified as a true wall covering. Vast areas can be digitally printed as murals and applied to surfaces requiring minimal preparation. As a specifier and installer we have the skill sets to complete the quoting, supply and installation of Belbien, DiNoc and digitally printed vinyls for all interior and exterior applications.
